Here are some of my recent favorite reviews for my Michigan Wedding Photography:
“I’ll bet you’re looking forward to this wedding,” bride Jen said to me as we waited at the front gate of the Renaissance Festival in Holly, Michigan.
That was definitely an understatement. It’s not often that you get to photograph a couple and thousands of their closest friends who went all Medieval on them before, during and after the ceremony.

I had the distinct honor of photographing a wonderful wedding recently. Rachel and BJ got married in Saline, Michigan a cool little town just south of Ann Arbor. I don’t mind traveling to photo shoots, particularly ones like this. The family treated me like one of their own — were open, gracious, loving — and seemed to have fun all day long, from preparation to departure.
I received this awesome note as they reviewed their discs:
Here are some great reviews I’ve recently received for my photography:
“We got the DVD with the pictures in the mail, and they are absolutely perfect! We are so thrilled with them and the job you did 🙂 We can’t thank you enough for the pictures, and for helping to make our Detroit wedding such a success!” — Meghan
“We want to thank you for the amazing photos from our wedding in Detroit. They are so beautiful. We love how you caught the beauty and spirit of the day. We love to go through the photos and remember so many fantastic moments of the day. We are very grateful that you were part of it all!” — Becca and TJ
“Mike and I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude! We loved everything about the way you work! Especially your “out of the way” style while not missing a moment. Thank you for keeping the mood light and most of all, thank you for the beautiful photos!” — Katy
From Wedding Wire and The Knot:
“Rodney Curtis is an award-winning wedding photographer based in Troy, Michigan. Proficient in both portraits and wedding photography, he photographs all over the Greater Detroit areas of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Rodney also travels across the state and country too. He has photographed wedding couples in such exotic locations as Paris and Jamaica, but he’s just as happy taking portraits in Lansing & Ann Arbor.”
November isn’t a month traditionally associated with weddings. But then again, Katy and Michael aren’t all that traditional anyway. I had a fun, relaxing time photographing their wedding at St. Hugo of the Hills in Bloomfield Hills and their reception at the funky King’s Court Castle in Lake Orion.
“Rodney Curtis is a great Detroit wedding photographer,” said the guy at the bar!
“Ha, thanks! I’ll take it,” I said.
Here are a couple samples from a wedding I shot in downtown Detroit and Belle Isle.
