Fun Weddings at The Iroquois Club

Just alongside Michigan’s historic Woodward Avenue, a bit north of Detroit, sits a great wedding venue, The Iroquois Club.

I have been fortunate, recently, to photograph some wonderful couples at The Iroquois Club. Here they are, in no particular order of wonderfulness.

Here are a few scenes from likely the HOTTEST wedding I’ve ever shot. Although the wedding day was sweltering, Peter and Melissa were COOL customers!

A Fun Outdoor Wedding in Ypsilanti

I was thrilled when my buddypal’s daughter, Brie, asked if I would shoot her fun outdoor wedding to Eric. I’ve been friends with the family for decades and it was such a joy to be part of their celebration. It took place at the couple’s old farmhouse in rural Ypsilanti. Here are just a few of my favorites from a June wedding in Ann Arbor’s cool cousin, Ypsi.

Weddings at Troy Historic Village

If Hollywood location scouts were looking for a town from yesteryear that exuded pure Americana, all they’d need to do was take a quick trip to the middle of Troy, Michigan. If you were unconscious, then woke up in the middle of the Troy Historic Village, you’d swear you’d just time traveled a couple hundred years into the past.

I have been lucky enough to photograph several weddings at The Village. Here’s a smattering of my favorites.

“It’s like rai-ain, on your wedding day …” — Kelly and Colin tied the knot at The Troy Historic Village. The rain tried, but couldn’t dampen their obvious joy and love.

Hazel and Matt’s Vaccinated Wedding

Physicians Hazel and Matt celebrated their fully-vaccinated wedding and invited me along to take pictures. I had a blast covering it and truly enjoyed spending time with their family and friends.

I also loved their wedding hashtag #mattgoeshazelnuts

The couple was game to pose for my fun portrait outside in the heat of the night as the Dream Cruise roared by.

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a wedding along the Northern California coast this past weekend. What a fun time! Navarro River and Mendocino were almost as charming as the couple themselves.

Robyn and Angie’s Ann Arbor Wedding

I was honored to be asked to photograph Robyn and Angie’s Ann Arbor wedding at the Stone Chalet Bed and Breakfast Inn and Event Center. They are a fun couple who made the day special with their easy-going attitudes and quick smiles. Of the 1,500+ full-color photos I sent them, these are my favorites, done up in a classic black and white style that matches the couple’s own classic style. Here’s to a great beginning of another chapter in their lives.
